This petition of citizens and residents of Australia draws the attention of the House to the parlous situation currently being suffered by the Palestinians. It seeks to address the national and civil rights of the Palestinian people following years of failed diplomacy. Israel’s occupation of the West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem now extends to 49 years and the relentless expansion of settlements calls into question the sincerity of Israel’s negotiating position..
