Every storm runs out of rain – Melbourne sequel

July 17 @ 6:30 pm - 10:00 pm

Dr Natalie Thurtle on her work as previous medical lead for MSF in Palestine, followed by a panel on navigating difficult conversations.

After our incredibly successful Sydney event, the Network of Women in Emergency Medicine (NoWEM) are teaming with Women in Intensive Care (WIN), joining Dr Natalie Thurtle in Melbourne, broadcasting her controversially cancelled talk which referenced working as the medical coordinator for MSF in Palestine. An expert panel will address how healthcare providers and organisations can and must be able to speak in an unprecedented and tense political climate, without harming and cancelling each other. This event will not be a replica of our previous event but build on the previous one. Therefore if you have attended the Sydney one we would love for you to join us again.

All proceeds will go to MSF.

Our incredible panel (wanel!):

moderated by Dr Ruth Mitchell, neurosurgeon and Nobel Peace Prize recipient

Dr Natalie Thurtle, previous medical coordinator for MSF in Palestine

Mary Freer, CEO Compassion Revolution

Dr Sarah Abdo, physician and activist

Dr Kristin Boyle, emergency physician

Others TBC

Livestream will be available, the link will be sent out on the day of the event.
