Falasteen Fundraiser – A Journey Through Palestinian Film, Art and Cuisine

Fundraising event held by UNSW’s Women in Politics Society. WIPSOC intends on humanising Palestinians beyond the harrowing statistics of the genocide, sharing the personal stories and experiences that showcase Palestinian humanity, struggles, and aspirations through film. With the generous catering of Stripped – Gaza Street Food, attendees will be provided a meal featuring authentic Palestinian cuisine.

There will also be an area dedicated to exploring Palestinian crafts, such as embroidery (Tatreez), allowing attendees to learn about and appreciate the rich cultural heritage of Palestine. WIPSOC will provide all materials but ensure you bring a shirt, hat, bag, scarf etc that you wish to embroider.

This event will be a paid entry, and all proceeds will go towards supporting legitimate GoFundMe or humanitarian relief initiatives that directly assist people in Gaza and Palestinian refugees, providing tangible support to those experiencing destruction beyond imagination.
