Healthcare Workers Vigil for Gaza

GLOBAL HEALTHCARE WORKERS VIGIL:
Join us on July 12th to pay respects to the healthcare workers and their patients who have died under Israeli occupation and genocidal warfare.
The systematic targeting of the Palestinian healthcare system by Israel is a core tactic of this genocide. There are currently no remaining fully functioning hospitals in Gaza. As of June 14, there have been 541 healthcare workers killed, and 259 unlawfully detained. Their testimonies describe the dehumanising conditions of detention and torture. Israeli forces have besieged hospitals and carried out massacres, leaving hundreds dead in mass graves.
The brave, unfaltering healthcare workers of Gaza have been murdered, kidnapped and terrorised while providing their life-saving service. Nonetheless, they remain steadfast in providing this care. We gather to honour them. We call on both Australian and international governments, health organisations and services to sanction the Israeli state, divest from genocide, and provide drastically increased aid to those affected by the ongoing brutality.
You will hear speeches from professionals across the health sector, testimonies regarding the healthcare situation in Gaza and conditions in detention, as well as stories and profiles of some of the martyred health heroes in Gaza.
If you are a healthcare worker, please wear your scrubs in solidarity with our colleagues in Gaza and across Palestine.
