Nakba Remembrance Day

Join us at Mountains for Palestine on Wednesday 15th May 5pm at Wentworth Falls lake for a light dinner and small vigil to pay respects and honour to the victims and descendants of the 1948 Nakba.
The Nakba (also known as the Palestinian catastrophe of 1948) is a significant part of Palestinian history where more than 750,000 Palestinians were exiled from homeland and an estimated 15,000 were killed at the hands of the newly born Zionist occupation.
We want to gather to honour the lives lost and acknowledge our diaspora who work tirelessly through generations of trauma to continue the fight for their elders.
Please wear your kuffiyeh’s and bring a candle or light and join us in a moments silence to honour every precious Palestinian life lost since 1948 to this current day.
No Politics or Discrimination will be tolerated.
