Caltex Fuels Genocide. Join us on these stolen lands of the Yuggera and Turrbal people next Saturday 16th November, 11am in Gair Park, Dutton Park for the National Day of Action against Caltex.
Chevron is based out of the USA and operates in Australia under the name Caltex. Israel’s genocide machine couldn’t run without power from Chevron. As Israel bombs hospitals, homes, universities, and UN schools in Gaza, Chevron supplies energy via the operation and co-ownership of two Israeli-claimed gas fields in the Mediterranean.
Beyond generating power, Chevron is also funnelling millions of dollars in tax revenues to the Israeli state, directly fuelling Israel’s system of settler colonialism and violence against all Palestinians. In 2022, those revenues amounted to over $462 million.
Chevron has been sued repeatedly for its involvement in violence against Indigenous communities around the world, including at least 13 accusations of genocide and 17 accusations of torture. The company’s activities have played a role in the destruction of marginalised people’s homes, resources, and livelihoods in at least 30 countries.
We cannot allow for our planet to be made uninhabitable and for Indigenous and marginalised peoples to be attacked and erased by colonial, racist, and capitalist forces. Not in Palestine. Not anywhere.
Magan-djin is joining the call from BDS Australia for a consumer boycott against Caltex. On Saturday 16th November at 11am we are rallying in Dutton Park and marching up to Caltex to demand No More Fuel for Genocide!
