This event will have a focused discussion on the effectiveness, impact and the legal justification of all forms of Palestinian resistance.
Our guest speaker for this discussion is Dr. Shahd Hammouri, interviewed by Sara Saleh who will guide the conversation to highlight the many aspects of the Palestinian resistance within the context of the international law.
Shahd Hammouri is a Palestinian lecturer in international law at the university of Kent and a legal consultant for multiple Palestinian civil society organisations and the author of the forthcoming book: Corporate War Profiteering and International law. Shahd has written extensively about, and argued for, the legality of the Palestinians’ right to resist occupation and colonisation by any means available.
Sara Saleh is an award-winning writer, human rights lawyer, and the daughter of Palestinian, Lebanese and Egyptian migrants. She is a long-term organiser for the justice for Palestine movement, grounded in black-Palestinian solidarity, and focused on empowering our communities movement with legal and political tools in service of liberation.
