Join us at Bayside Park on Friday the 3rd of May at 6pm, for a peaceful, silent vigil and walk for Palestine.
Since October 2023, Israel has murdered more than 30,000 civilians, aid workers and medical staff in Palestine. This includes over 13,000 children, and 9,000 women. The Israeli government continues its genocidal attacks, and near total restriction of food, water and medicine to the Gaza Strip. This is in direct violation of international law.
Come together to mourn the martyrs and find strength and solidarity in our community. We will be peacefully walking on the footpath from Bayside Park to the Wynnum Jetty. Please bring along any signs and candles to carry with you during the walk.
Bayside for Palestine acknowledges the rightful owners of the land we live and organise on, the Quandamooka peoples. Sovereignty was never ceded. Activists from the Palestinian and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities have long acknowledged the links between their two struggles, as both have faced the brutal impacts of colonisation. From the river to the sea, always was always will be.
