SUMMARY:Tomorrow's Freedom: A feature documentary screening on Marwan Barghouti\, Palestine's Mandela
DESCRIPTION:On Palestine Prisoners’ Day (April 17)\, join Free Palestine Melbourne for a screening of Tomorrow’s Freedom\, a feature documentary on imprisoned Palestinian political leader Marwan Barghouti. \nMade over the course of five years\, Tomorrow’s Freedom gains intimate access to the Barghouti family. Through a powerful archive spanning over three decades – combining unfolding events on the ground\, and a collage of in-depth interviews with the people who know Marwan best – we see Marwan’s evolution from activist to learned politician\, uniting people and bringing hope to a flatlined peace process. Tomorrow’s Freedom is a brutally honest and transformative journey into the heart of the Palestinian occupation. \nLearn more about Marwan and join the Australian campaign advocating for his release.

SUMMARY:Central Coast Screening: The Voice of Hind Rajab
DESCRIPTION:The Voice of Hind Rajab is a harrowing docudrama by Kaouther Ben Hania that reconstructs the true story of 6-year-old Hind Rajab\, who was trapped for hours in a car in Gaza under Israeli fire in January 2024. Using real audio recordings and dramatic re-enactments\, the film follows Red Crescent workers trying to save her. \nThis special screening is raising funds for PCRF Australia\, an Australian registered charity providing medical treatment and rehabilitation for Palestinian children in need\, serving all children without discrimination. Donations will help support paediatric evacuations\, specialist medical missions and the supply of medical equipment and supplies. \nBecause every child deserves access to healthcare. \nWith guest speaker\, Dr Saira\, will talk about her experience volunteering in Gaza after the screening. \nJoin us on Sunday 19 April\, at 11.00am to 2.00pm \nTicket Price: $20 \n• $5 donated to PCRF \n• $2 for a First People’s cause \n• $3 to Central Coast Friends of Palestine (event costs)
