Australia Palestine Advocacy Network Vice President Nasser Mashni says the ongoing conflict in Gaza is due to Israel’s ongoing campaign to “de-Palestine what was historic Palestine”.
The most recent Palestinian-Israeli conflict has moved into its second week with more than 190 deaths recorded in Gaza compared to 10 in Israel.
Israel engaged in another round of fierce air bombings through Gaza city which killed more than 40 in a single day over the weekend, while Hamas have fired over two thousand missiles into Israel.
Mr Mashni said despite the Israeli Defence Forces warnings to residents of buildings about to be bombed, there is no where for citizens in Gaza to run,
“The cage encapsulates you, there’s no where to seek refuge, there are no bomb shelters, there is no where to go,” he said.
“It’s just got to stop immediately. Just immediately stop the killing.”
