Selfie Wall in solidarity with Mohammed El Halabi

Mohammed El Halabi is a humanitarian hero, imprisoned by Israel for nearly 7 years. The 2nd of April will be his birthday. Show Mohammed and his family that we stand with them calling for justice and to #FreeMohammed.

Mohammed El Halabi, the former manager of operations for World Vision in Gaza, was deemed a humanitarian hero by the UN.

Israel accused him of diverting millions of dollars in aid, much donated by the Australian government, to armed groups. World Vision and the Department of Foreign Affairs conducted comprehensive audits, neither of which found evidence that funds were diverted.

Mohammed’s trial was drawn out over years, held behind closed doors in a trial that was neither fair nor transparent. Mohammed was offered a plea deal for time served if he would just plead guilty. Mohammed refused, he knows full well the repercussions of an admission of guilt to aid in Gaza - besides he is innocent!

Unsurprisingly, Israel found Mohammed guilty in 2022, sentencing him to a 12 years in prison. World Vision said the sentence was deeply disappointing and in sharp contrast to the evidence and facts of the case, and that they are fully supporting his appeal.

The imprisonment of Mohammed is clearly intended to chill any advocacy or even humanitarian support for Palestine or the Palestinians in Gaza.

Mohammed has not given up, nor will we!

We will continue to stand with Mohammed in his quest for justice. #FreeMohammed
