Mums for Palestine Meanjin/ Magan-djin Children’s Market

April 27 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Mums for Palestine Meanjin/ Magan-djin will host a children’s market from 12-4pm on Saturday 27th April at Bunyapa Park, West End, to raise much-needed funds for families arriving in Brisbane from Gaza.

All funds raised at the market will go to charity TAQWA, to pay for flights and provide Palestinians hoping to rebuild their lives in Australia with housing, white goods, clothes, furniture, food, and basic essentials.

As dozens of families wait to cross the border from Gaza into Egypt to take flights to safety in Queensland, many of whom have lost family members and everything they own, funds are urgently needed for flights to Brisbane and to provide for their basic needs on arrival.

The market will feature live music, fun workshops and activities for children, face-painting, food, and market stalls. Entry is a $2 donation, which also includes a raffle ticket with the chance to win a prize hamper. Eftpos payment is preferred, with cash payments also available on the day.
