November 2020 | Mohammed Morsi in The Book Room

APAN is proud to be working with award winning Palestinian playwright and poet Samah Sabawi on The Book Room  – a series of monthly interviews with authors that highlight Palestinian and Australian Indigenous authors.  This event is with Mohammed Morsi who discussed his new book The Palace of Angels.  The book is three stories which detail life in Palestine and Egypt, powerfully sharing the stories Morsi touched while working as a journalist.

November 2020 | My Future Palestine

APAN worked with 10 Palestinian Australian young people to produce videos highlighting what their ideal Palestine would look like.  A compilation of their videos was launched at the online Palestinian National Day celebrations.  These videos powerfully demonstrate the vision of Palestinian young people for a future that is inclusive, peaceful, and has justice and opportunity for all.

November 2020 | Palestine National Day

For the fifth year, APAN  worked with Palestinian community and advocacy groups in Melbourne to host Palestine National Day in Federation Square.  This year COVID restrictions meant the audience was all online.  Palestinian young people were centre stage at this event – comprising all the speakers and performers as well as event organisers.

October 2020 | Susan Abulhawa in The Book Room
