February 2021 | Senator Penny Wong speaks at APAN dinner

The Hon Senator Penny Wong, Shadow Minister for Foreign Affairs spoke to an APAN dinner attended by over 200 people.

Senator Wong praised APAN’s work for Palestinian human rights and reaffirmed Labor’s support for a just and lasting peace.  Senator Wong reaffirmed ALP policy that calls on the next Labor Government to recognise Palestine as an important priority.  She also spoke strongly about Israeli annexation of the West Bank and called for the reinstatement of funding to UNRWA and AMENCA.  “Peace cannot be one-sided; nor can it be imposed” she said – we couldn’t agree more.
