Aware Super: Divest from Occupation

Three years into Israel’s genocide, Aware Super is still investing $472 million in companies complicit in Israel’s illegal occupation.

Despite an International Court of Justice advisory opinion reaffirming the illegality of Israel’s occupation and settlements, and Australia’s recognition of Palestinian statehood, Aware Super continues to pour members’ money into companies the United Nations has identified as contributing to Israel’s settlement expansions.

These investments span Israeli banks, real estate companies, oil and gas exploration and supply companies, and businesses in the agriculture and construction sectors. Through their operations in illegal settlements, these companies help sustain and expand Israel’s occupation at the expense of Palestinian rights.

Other super funds have acted. HESTA and Vision Super both divested from Israeli banks in 2025 following months of member pressure. Aware Super has no excuse for continuing to invest our money in companies linked to Israel’s illegal occupation.

Our retirement savings should not be bankrolling the dispossession of Palestinians. Aware Super members have the power to demand change, and we have a plan to make it happen.
