What is divestment?
Divestment campaigns harness people power to hold corporations accountable for supporting Israel’s illegal occupation, apartheid, and genocide. We pressure corporations to cut ties with complicit companies that support the Israeli regime. This includes super funds, banks, and government.
We also support grassroots groups to pressure their local councils, universities and other institutions to divest from, end contracts with and cut financial ties to complicit corporations.
Divestment is a powerful tool for justice.
When institutions divest from complicit investments, millions, if not billions, of dollars are withdrawn from companies that prop up Israel’s illegal occupation, apartheid and genocide against the Palestinian people.
