Youth Workshop: Combatting Anti-Palestinian Racism

Thank you for expressing your interest in attending APAN’s anti-Palestinian racism youth workshop.

Palestinians and allies, those who advocate for justice in Palestine, face a unique and profoundly distinct form of racism. APAN’s Anti-Palestinian Racism (APR) resources have been developed to help the community understand the experience of Palestinians and allies in the context of racism, discrimination and settler-colonialism frameworks.

Young people affected by APR face discrimination on university campuses and/or in their workplace. From Nakba denial to dehumanising Palestinians, APR can take shape in different forms. Learn more about APR here.

Join us on Saturday, July 18 from 11 AM – 3 PM in Coburg, Victoria to learn more about APR to combat this distinct form of racism which has spread violently across our country. Safa El Samad, local Lebanese artist and Creative Director at Soof Flash, will be embroidering your clothing with a generous half-price discount.

Space is limited and registrations will close once capacity is reached.

Your attendance will be confirmed via email. This event is free to attend and catering will be provided.

Anti-Palestinian Racism (APR) is a form of racism that silences, excludes, erases, stereotypes, defames or dehumanises Palestinians or their narratives. APR doesn't just impact Palestinians, our allies are also deeply impacted by this form of hate. Have you experienced APR?(Required)
