Cygnet for Palestine warmly welcomes the community to this public screening of EXCEPTION starring Waleed Zuaiter (acclaimed Palestinian-American actor).  When a leaked video of a university lecture goes viral, the Palestinian professor faces a difficult choice: stay silent to preserve his career, or speak out and risk it all.

Authentic voices merged when Palestinian-Canadians and Open Screenplay Co-Founders, Khaled Sabawi and Sami Sabawi, were granted the honor of writing the screenplay for EXCEPTION and developing it into a short film screenplay.  Open Screenplay brought on Rodrigue Hammal, an award-winning Canadian director with Lebanese and Syrian heritage, to bring Exception to life.
