Palestinian Prisoners Day Magan-djin

The Magan-djin (Brisbane) community will rally on Sunday 13th April, 4pm in King George Square, to mark Prisoners Day and honour all those still held captive in Occupation prisons.
April 17th is Palestinian Prisoners Day, a day dedicated to honouring the thousands of Palestinians held in Occupation prisons and supporting their legitimate right to freedom. This day marks the 51st anniversary of the first prisoner exchange between the Palestinians and Occupation State with the release of Mahmoud Bakr Hijazi in 1974.
On this day we are reminded of the brutal, inhumane treatment that Israel subjects Palestinians to inside their military prisons, and we continue to call for their immediate release. Justice and liberation for the Palestinian people, NOW!
