Tell Labor: Divest Australia’s Future Fund from Israel’s Genocide.
May 15th is Nakba Day- marking the 1948 Nakba (Catastrophe)that saw Zionist militias violently expel over 750,000 Palestinian people from their homes and lands, massacring tens of thousands of people & wiping 530 villages off the map.
The Nakba did not end in 1948.
Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza and land theft in the West Bank continues today, now expanded again into Lebanon.
The Nakba is now – and you are paying for it.
Australia’s Future Fund – our government owned sovereign wealth fund – is supposed to safeguard us all.
But, right now, the Future Fund invests over $260 million into weapons companies like Elbit Systems, Lockheed Martin & Palantir and Israeli banks profiting from Israel’s genocide and human rights abuses in Palestine.
It’s time to stop the flow of Australian public money to Israel’s genocide.
Tell Treasurer Jim Chalmers, Finance Minister Kathy Gallagher and Future Fund Chair Greg Combet to cut off hundreds of millions in Australian money from Israel’s genocide.
