Researchers at University of New South Wales in Sydney are conducting a project about how Australian mainstream news media reporting of war and conflict in Muslim-majority countries influences the sense of belonging and social cohesion among
young Australians from the Muslim community.

Please consider participating if you are:
• Sydney-based Australian between the ages of 18–39;
• Muslim or from a family that comes from a Muslim-majority country affected by war or conflict; and
• watch local news.

You will not be named in the study to protect your identity.

You will be compensated with a $50 Prezzee gift card for your time participating in the focus group scheduled at the end of September and early October 2025. You can choose from Lakemba, Penrith or UNSW Kensington Campus Sydney(please visit registration link below for detail on time and date).
